We are enjoying an exciting period of transformation and growth. As a result of this, we have a vacancy for a
Head of Supply Chain. Are you ready to take on a key role supporting us to build a better business so we can consistently deliver for every customer that puts their trust in us?

This senior management role will require somebody already successfully operating in a similar position.

You will be responsible for leading the business across the total supply chain. From procurement and production planning to inventory control, warehousing, logistics and the supply chain team.

Responsible for the development and delivery of our functional and business strategy, you will oversee the control of all materials on site as well as ensuring that an efficient and accurate storage and stock control operation is provided through to product distribution and onward delivery.

Role and responsibilities will include:

Commercial awareness and proven costreduction measures on site
Monitor departmental KPIs and challenge improvement when required to ensure targets are achieved and improved
Establish direction by developing strategies to attain longterm goals
Ensure traceability at each stage of distribution is undertaken through accurate and timely completion of all documentation relating to the storage and distribution of stock
All stock inbound (timings and delivery); planning/conversion of the stock; stock management and control through the planning process; driving efficiency and effective direct labour cost through providing the correct type of plans for the factory
Negotiate terms and prices in good faith with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining costeffective practices
Record and interpret data which minimises risk to the business by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process
Work alongside the commercial team to forecast and communicate short, medium and longterm supply chain needs regarding labour, volumes, upcoming changes, and sales data
A clear understanding of production processes and our business and are knowledgeable on both product lines and customer requirements
Demonstrate the ability to communicate both internally across multiple areas of the business and externally dealing directly with customers, hauliers and suppliers in a professional manner
Keep the site MD up to speed on the stock management positions (cost £; amount and risk) and advising on mitigation

Skills and experience required to be successful as our Head of Supply Chain:

Strong supply chain track record in an FMCG environment, most preferably food manufacturing or logistics/distribution management
Experience in demand planning and forecasting essential

Computer literate

Excel MS Office
Experience of short life, or fastmoving retail/wholesaling/multidrop environments
Able to demonstrate a broad business awareness
Level 2 ITC qualification or equivalent history of using stock management systems
Experience of managing, coaching, and mentoring a team to deliver results
