About The Role:


Responsibilities:


  • Project Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of multiutility projects, ensuring that work is carried out according to the project schedule and specifications.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate with the project team to allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to meet project requirements.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all onsite personnel and visitors.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used, ensuring that all installations meet the required standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, permits, LOLER, PUWER, site diaries, and any incidents or issues encountered.
  • Communication: Regularly liaise with the Project Manager, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns or challenges.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any onsite issues promptly, taking appropriate actions to keep the project on track.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all work carried out complies with relevant regulations, permits, and utility industry standards.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train junior staff, promoting their professional growth and development within the company.
  • Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in the multiutility sector or a similar utility construction role with a minimum of SSSTS and Street Works Supervisor qualification
  • Indepth knowledge of multiutility installations, including water, gas, electricity, and telecommunications.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Problemsolving mindset with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications related to utility construction and site supervision are advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
