Export and Logistics Manager (Officed Based)
Your new job as our Export and Logictics Manager will be varied; you will focus mainly on the day-to-day freight forwarding operation including quoting, booking and managing transport movements from start to finish.
On a daily basis you will:
- Ensure workload is spread evenly over the team.
- Staff training
- Attend Daily Meetings for updates and to raise any departmental issues.
- Work closely with our Freight partner to ensure any issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
- Dealing with drivers over the intercom
- Dealing with drivers at "Drivers Reception"
- Creating and updating bookings on Efacs
- Creating delivery paperwork for drivers and warehouse
- Sending relevant paperwork to the customer and haulier
- Raising documents for customs clearances
- Managing all bookings for goods in
- Keeping the Commercial Team fully updated on the status of their Orders
- Manage POD's
- Checking and Receipting transport invoices
- Dealing with any transport invoice queries
- Committing free stock to outstanding orders
- Creating a pick for the warehouse for the relevant date
- Maintaining order book
- Maintaining Tanker Sheet
- Process Works Orders in to stock
- Ensuring all documentation is scanned and uploaded to the system.
Key aspects of the job skills required:
- Experience managing a small team
- Positive and solutionbased approach to work
- Knowledge of customs systems (i.e. My E-Cert) and experienced in raising export documents
- Experience in UK and European Road Freight ideal, but Air/Sea experience would suffice
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of Microsoft office packages in a work environment
- Be able to learn new IT systems quickly and accurately
- Be a team player that is focused on delivering the best possible customer experience
- UK National or right to work in the UK essential, no visa can be offered.
Contractual Benefits
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
25 days holiday + bank holidays
3% pension
Salary £35,530
