We are looking for a
Qualified Early Years Practitioner to work at our well-established fun and friendly Wee Gems Livingston.

As a
Qualified Early Years Practitioner, you should hold, at minimum an SVQ level 3/ HNC in childcare and education.

The Wee Gems team have set a high standard for childcare, making Wee Gems a very strong contender in our sector.

We as childcare providers make a promise to our clients to offer a high-quality service reflected in our employment process.

At Wee Gems Livingston we aim to bring out the best in our children to create a much stronger and confident child ready to face the world.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Successful applicant will be required to work with children of all ages, implementing creative learning experiences, always ensuring safety and wellbeing of children within the nursery.

The successful applicant will

Be a reliable member of a team and work with flexibility.
Work with an ethos of respect and professionalism with colleagues, stake holders and service users.
Understand that each child is an individual and have a sound knowledge of childcare and child development.
Have responsibility to uphold and adhere to SSSC codes of practice.
Take responsibility as a key worker for each child's progress, report on achievements and complete child development profiles on a weekly basis.
Develop positive relationships with parents/guardians, other staff, and outside agencies.
Always supervise the children indoors and outdoors. Following systems that are in place and highlight any concerns.
To ensure that the environments are inviting and resourced efficiently.
Support in maintaining a stimulating and attractive nursery environment.
Be aware and act upon children's individual needs and requirements using the Wee Gems key worker policy.
Develop and deliver age and stage appropriate activities that will progress children's learning.
Ensure that all practice is inclusive to all the children attending Wee Gems.
Ensure you are a reflective practitioner to further evolve the practice you display.
