Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Work as a key member of the management team
  • Take Ownership for the efficient, Safe and costeffective running of the Yard
  • Co Ordinate and Plan all Operational activities in relation to the Hire and Sales Function of JMAC, this includes forward planning of Sales Order Dispatches, Hire Order / Contract Dispatch, Hire Order / Contract Collections
  • Purchase Order collections and dispatch / to facilitate Sales or Hire order dispatches.
  • Maintain Minimum Stock Levels within the Yard area to facilitate KPI, if this drops below required amount, please advise Divisional director and Office Manager to enable new PO's to be made to the JMSS Supply Chain.
  • Close Co Ordination between Supply Chain and Customers to ensure all Operational activities are communicated in advance to create a 'right first time' culture, this is to be conducted in a timely manner with Quality, Professional conduct, and Customer focus at the core of our daytoday activities.
  • Responsibility for the overall Quality and Accuracy of Picking Packing, Dispatching of Sales, and off hire counts for Hire and sales stock / assets UK & Abroad, working closely with key stakeholders' suppliers and Operational / finance Functions of the business to ensure timely delivery & Collection of Equipment without delay or disruption.
  • Responsible for the Quality, Housekeeping and maintenance of All Yard / Stock and Asset holding areas, inclusive of the Quality of materials within such prior to dispatch.
  • Managing a team of Full time Staff, inclusive of Yard Foreman and Yard Operatives & driving team Responsible for providing direction and instruction on a daytoday basis, based on the Incoming / outgoing Assets, stock, and any other items in / out of our Yard or supplier locations.
  • Support with the Training and development of your team and that of the Junior Safety apprentices.
  • Always maintain compliance with all Company HSEQ Policies & Procedures, provide valuable input into the improvement of all process's, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure proper receipt of all incoming equipment including verification of counts, inspection of the condition of the equipment and the completion of all required paperwork.
  • Responsible overall process and audit of maintaining the equipment in an organized fashion (i.e., separation of equipment requiring maintenance to Quarantine area, equipment to be charged to the customer, and equipment that is rent ready), through management and monitoring of your team
  • Ensure that any damaged equipment is repaired properly, and any assets disposed of is counted and disposed of via instruction to the Office Manager for Hire ad Sales whom is accountable for all stock / assets within JMSS.
  • Properly account for equipment that is to be charged to the customer
  • Hold Daily Meetings with Team to discuss daily objectives and safety issues for all Yard and Temporary personnel.
  • Carry out weekly stock audits and liaise with Office Manager Hire and Sales to ensure we are pro actively maintaining an accurate stock / asset register, between INSPHRE and Yard locations.
  • Maintain a wellorganized and Safe Premises, working in collaboration with HSEQ team and Key Stakeholders of the business
  • Conduct checks the checker and promote an ethos of Self audit and continuous improvement within the JMSS Yard and Transport Function
  • Promote a Culture of Psychological safety, combined with that of Continuous improvement
  • Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements
  • Delegate tasks within agreed time limits as per discussions on your daily briefing
  • Attend promote and lead toolbox talks and ensure the items discussed are carried out and applicable to findings from the previous period to drive and promote a culture of continual improvement
  • Come to work in a timely manner with the correct PPE equipment
  • Work overtime when required and if given enough notice, plan and manage overtime working for your team ensuring the correct level of supervision is in place during such shifts and taskbased activities, ensure shift leader has the correct qualifications and experience to carry out such tasks and has a Risk assessment and Method statement in place for all operatives working within any shift.
  • Follow instructions given to you by you line manager
  • Ensure paperwork is filled in correctly and handed to the drivers/ shift supervisor/ manager when required Overall Purpose of the Role
  • Gather client feedback from Drivers and utilise the information to recognise and drive service improvements
  • Assist the Divisional Director with the management and growth of the division and developing efficiencies to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Manage and maintain Yard RAMS
  • Manage and maintain POWRA's
  • Manage and maintain daily start right forms
  • Complete and monitor FLT checks, highlight service and repair needs to the Transport Manager
  • Liaise with HSEQ Consu
