New Directions Education are looking to appoint an experienced School Administrator, to work on a temporary basis in Secondary schools in Newport.


Due to the nature of supply work, the positions available are both long and short-term temporary, covering internal absences such as sickness and maternity.

Applicants must be flexible and adaptable to work in different schools in the area.

The working hours will be full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4pm, term-time only.


As the first point of contact for the school, all applicants must be professional, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Our clients are seeking individuals with experience using the
School Information Management System (SIMS). Previous experience working in a school office, collating dinner money and logging pupil attendance and lateness is essential.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school administrator to provide essential support to local schools whilst working on a flexible basis.

Duties are varied and may include the following:

  • Receptionist duties such as answering the phone and welcoming visitors
  • Dealing with school meals administration, ordering stationery, paying invoices, handling monies, printing and photocopying and managing schools systems like SIMS
