As an Apprentice in the Finance Operations team, you will study towards Accounting Exams, such as AAT and ACCA.


What you'll be doing:


The Finance Operations team is part of the Finance division, responsible for ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner.

The team are divided into 'hubs' of support and as apprentice you will work in two main hubs and support a third:
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Hub, Payments Hub and supporting Travel & Staff Expenses.

Some of the responsibilities you could have include:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Indexing and processing of invoices, supporting them through the systems in a timely manner.
  • Supporting Invoice queries from suppliers.
  • Processing Invoices from the inbox where it is received, through to a 'payment run'.
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable Inbox which receives a large amount of queries including invoices, credit notes, queries etc.

Payments Hub:

  • Supporting the payment of company payments (BSPs, loans, accounts payable, moving money between our own bank accounts).
  • Ensuring payments have been processed correctly each day.
  • Looking after office locations' prepaid cards (eg petty cash cards, company credit cards).
  • Assisting the teams with adhoc tasks
  • Relationship management/Governance support

Who we're looking for:


We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, who is able to multi-task and has strong verbal and written communication.

You should have an interest in process improvement and making suggestions for change, as well as being adaptable to changing priorities.


Other required skills to be successful:

  • Great teamwork.
  • Willingness to be involved in a variety of matters.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


If you are interested in role, you will need to hold a minimum of level 4 in English Language and Mathematics.
