We are looking for a


_ Medical Writer (Associate, mid-level or senior experience)_

About the role


Our Medical Writers are responsible for writing high-quality, medically accurate content in multiple formats including PowerPoint and Word, for a wide range of medical communication programmes/activities.

They focus on the key scientific messages considering the interests and needs of the audience and the appropriate style and language.

They develop content that is well organized, consistent, and in compliance with applicable style guides, company SOPs, and regulations. Our Medical Writers can rapidly assimilate new therapeutic area/product knowledge and work flexibly across formats and styles.


Your responsibilities

  • Develop outlines/programmes for medical education activities, including facetoface events, digital events, and enduring materials.
  • Support leading medical experts with creating content for medical communication and education projects, including presentations, reports, newsletters, story boards, and other medical education materials
  • Manage content development within budgeted hours and according to timelines, with effective prioritization, for medical education/communication projects within an assigned therapeutic area, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Participate in project calls with pharmaceutical/biotech clients and medical experts to align on project scope and content direction
  • Provide direction, guidance and delegate to internal and external medical writers, editors, and studio staff regarding assigned projects ensuring highquality and alignment with medical/scientific objectives
  • Communicate project status and changes effectively across internal and external stakeholders
  • Be an ambassador for development of medical writing skills and quality across the agency, and support in medical writing training of staff as required

Requirements, skills, and qualifications for this role

  • A superb command of the English language
  • Life science academic education (minimum BSc, and PhD is a benefit)
  • Evidence of professional medical writing experience ideally a medical communications agency, or other scientific or medical focussed commercial setting
  • Experience working across different media, including Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent and flexible writing skills, including ability to work in varying styles including highly scientific and promotional
  • The ability to run multiple parallel projects and review all editorial items for style, accuracy, data interpretation, and adherence to clients' brief and strategy.
