We are looking for:


A Graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer to work in our Cardiff office, assisting in design and delivery of consultancy and construction projects.


Experience gained in the following would be advantageous:
Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, bio-technology,laboratories, industrial or scientific projects.


The role is offered on a full-time basis and there is flexibility to work some of the week from home.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with preparation of building services designs for projects at their various stages including calculations, schedules, design drawings, specifications and other details as necessary for the project.
  • Assist the Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to manage design and CAD/BIM resources allocated to projects to produce deliverables within the required scope, cost, programme, safety, environmental and quality parameters of the prevailing contract.
  • Attend regular design progress reviews with the Design Manager. Provide appropriate information to enable effective reporting and enable variances to be addressed.
  • Attend site when necessary for survey or design clarification / quality control.

Requirements:


  • Mechanical Building Services degree (or equivalent engineering degree) with 0 to 2 years post graduate experience.
  • Must be selfreliant / ideally able to work independently and use own initiative.
  • Good standard of English both for written (spelling grammar and punctuation) and verbal communication.
  • Proactive, dynamic and reliable discipline project team member.
  • Good IT skills and competent with MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
