Research Analyst/Data Operator

Salary:
£20,000-£22,000 per annum starting salary

Hours: 37.5 h/w, Mon-Fri

Location:
Reading, Town Centre. Hybrid working model, 1-2 days per week in the office.


Who you'll be working for:

51Degrees is a software company based in the centre of Reading. We provide the intelligence that makes digital content work across smart devices, including watches, phones, TVs and more. Our software and data is used by over 1.5 million servers globally.

Due to our steady and continued success we are looking to appoint a Data Operator on a full-time basis at our office in Reading.


What you will be doing:


  • Researching device, operating system and browser information and creating an agreed minimum number of new profiles to a specific format and quality.
  • Updating the line manager weekly on number/type of profiles created per week contributing to overall team KPI.
  • Run data import jobs and match new user agents to existing profiles.
  • Accurately updating database
  • Verifying and correcting data as part of quality assurance
  • Supporting data team projects
  • Distributing device data to private and open forums as agreed
  • Working to resolve customer queries/issues ensuring that the service and products provided are customer focussed.

  • Strong spoken and written communication
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Lives within commuting distance of Central Reading
  • Passion for accurate and consistent data.
  • Understanding of the operation of world wide web and concepts such as HTTP, Facebook and Google.
  • Willingness to learn and be part of a successful team.
  • A willingness to understand, learn and master the relevant Data Team procedures as detailed on the internal document 'Role and Process Competency matrix'.
  • Enthusiasm for Continuing Professional Development and willingness to work towards a professional qualification.

Desirable Skills:


  • Proven problem solving, pattern recognition and logical thinking.
  • Experience of using an SQL database and constructing queries.
  • Knowledge of Regular Expressions.
  • Knowledge of programming languages.
