Shipley area


Salary:
£11.00 per hour


Hours:
Full Time (Part Time available)


Holidays: 33 days per year (pro rata)

Full driving licence and car required for this role


Work for an Outstanding rated CQC provider

We are looking to add to our already existing team who support a gentleman in the Shipley area

About You


For this position you ideally will have a background in care and support, and also you will be able to work on your own initiative and also have an engaging personality, but also be able to deal with situations that may be of a challenge, and therefore understanding how to provide a level of consistency to ensure that situations do not escalate and understanding what trigger points could take place are essential, and ultimately if situations do become a challenge, knowing how to deal in these circumstances is crucial, but the focus is very much on this situation not happening.


This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some one who lives life to the full and enjoys laughter and has a sense of humour.

You will be working with J, ideally you will have an interest or understanding in the following areas

  • Steam and Traction engines
  • Planes, Farming, Birds and Canals
  • Reading and Magazines
  • Days out and Trips out
  • Church and Christianity


J is an enthusiastic gentleman who has many varied interests, but he is also a man of routine, and routines and plans are important to him.

He is a very happy and chatty individual who likes to live life to the full, he is a regular church attender, and this is important to him, as are his friends and family and his close circle of support

Here at CJP Outreach services we support a number of amazing individuals, who all live life to the full and who require care and support to access the community and to fulfil their lives.


We support a range of people, and working for CJP you will be supporting both Adults and Children in the community, this will be for a minimum of one hour, but in general our support is in blocks of hours.


We work to empower the people we support to live a fulfilled life, and we ensure that we develop whole life plans that support in so many ways.


You will find that no two days are the same, one day you may be supporting someone to access the community, the next day you could be supporting someone to work, and then to various activities like sporting events, day trips, going to the park and much more.


The majority of the work we undertake is in the Halifax area and we work in tight geographical areas to reduce travel time and also mileage and petrol costs.


There is an expectation that you are able to support on a weekend and in an evening, but we work on an alternate weekend basis, but the majority of the support we provide is through the day.

We value our employees and we have one of the lowest turnover rates in the sector, because we ensure that we train, support and match people we recruit with the people we support, and therefore work on developing long term relationships that provide consistency and support, which are key elements of been an outstanding care and support provider
