The Data Intelligence Practice - The ATKINS home for Data & Intelligence, is a vibrant community of 130+ Data Consultants covering several data specialisms including Data Strategy, Data Architecture, Information Management, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Geospatial services, amongst several others.


We are currently looking for a lead to one of our four teams in the Practice - The Data Insights & Delivery team.


This is a unique role, where you will be leading a rapidly growing team of 30 Data SMEs, covering Data Science, Data Engineering and ML Engineers and be primarily responsible for the continued development of this high performing team along with the creation of relevant methodologies, frameworks and go-to market propositions supporting ongoing market penetration of the team key capabilities and offerings.

You will drive the Data Insights and Delivery team growth across a wide range of industries (incl. Aerospace, Defence, Security, Central Government and National Infrastructure) both in a delivery and pre-sales capacity and you will also be expected to foster the continued growth and great culture presented by this team - after all the team's success will be your success.

  • Expand a growing footprint of Data Insights & Delivery services with our clients, by:
  • Leading the definition of new frameworks and methodologies.
  • Sponsor the creation of new innovative services and offerings.
  • Establish cross pollination pathways with other teams both in the practice and organisation.
  • Become the face for Data Insights & Delivery for Atkins in the industry.

What you can bring:

  • Experience in managing dynamic teams of staff, ideally in a geographically disperse settings, including career development and resourcing.
  • Experience in embracing highly collaborative teams with strong culture points around Collaboration, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Experience in Data and/or Intelligence from at least one of the following facets (Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Machine Learning).
  • Presales experience would be a plus, and prior experience in establishing gotomarket propositions / offerings would be amazing.
  • Experience in managing Chief Officer and Director Level relationships would be excellent.
  • Prior Experience in Defense, Central Government, National Security or National Infrastructure would be a plus.
