About the Role


In alignment with our growth plans, we are looking for a Data Analytics Apprentice to join our Energy Portfolio Management Data Management and Governance team.

This team focuses on ensuring that the right data is made available to the right people at the right time in a supported and managed environment.

This enables decisions to be made using trusted, accurate and complete data to deliver value to the business.


Reporting into the Data Management & Governance Manager once trained, you'll provide accurate, transparent, quality assured data which underpins commercial decision making, demonstrating the quality of key data aligned with defined data standards, in accordance with regulatory needs.

This Level 8 Apprenticeship is designed to develop apprentices into tomorrow's Data Management and Governance Analysts.

During this 12-18 month-long programme, you will receive comprehensive training which will enable you to develop your skills and technical knowledge, allowing you to achieve industry accreditations.


Whilst on this apprenticeship programme you will develop:

  • Analytical and interpretation skills
  • Attention to detail by completing tasks accurately and consistently
  • People skills through collaboration and teamwork
  • Communication and organisational skills
Whilst at work, you will get the opportunity to put your training into practise.

Throughout your time at SSE, your training will be delivered by one of our training partners and will be delivered over 12-18 months via a hybrid model of both virtual and face to face delivery.


What do I need?

  • Be able to work both in a team and sometimes alone
  • Be intuitive and focus on assisting customers and colleagues find solutions to problems
  • Work logically and methodically, often under pressure to set deadlines
  • Deliver what is required, when it is required, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have a keen eye for detail, and be able to quickly interpret complex information.
