WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY

Role:


An exciting opportunity currently exists for a talented Milling / Turning CNC Setter - Operator within the production machine shop facility of Camlin Technologies, which is the R&D, engineering and operations centre for the Camlin Group.


For the position of Setter / Operator you should have proven experience in a CNC Machine Shop environment and knowledge of CNC machines, preferably with Haas Fanuc controls.

You will be responsible for setting & operating Haas CNC machines for the production of small, medium & large batches of precision components.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setting up tools & machines for production
  • Carry out machining of components
  • Carry out firstoff & batch inspection to ensure quality of components
  • Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy
  • Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required by your supervisor

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Time served (Or equivalent experience) in CNC Milling and/or Turning
  • Availability to work shifts
  • Experience with 3 & 4th Axis Haas CNC milling machines
  • Experience of Haas CNC Lathes with live tooling.
  • Ability to use a wide range of measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience in working with a wide range of materials
  • A strong awareness of health and safety considerations within a machine shop environment
  • Be a good team player capable of delivering results under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work on your own initiative with the minimum of supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Quality focused
  • Ability to be flexible in hours of work and a positive "can do" enthusiastic attitude towards addressing the technical challenges facing Camlin Technologies and our clients

DESIRABLE

  • Electrical / Electronic /Mechanical Engineering qualification (minimum HNC Level)
