**Summary
**Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a very familiar brand in Basingstoke.

The client is looking to recruit an Credit Controller to join their finance team in Basingstoke on a permanent basis.


The Role

  • Chasing of outstanding debt;
  • Initiate proactive chasing of debt, to ensure invoices are paid on time;
  • Allocation of payments upon receipt;
  • Responsible for gathering, sorting and tracking accounting records related to the accounts receivable credit and collections function;
  • To achieve and maintain collection performance against target;
  • Responsible for reviewing sales reports and generating sales invoices, reconciling receivable accounts and performing sales research, as well as making collection calls;
  • Performs analysis monthly and quarterly to ensure all customers are paying timely and reviews payment history for credit increase requests;
  • Assists with the month end closure;
  • Performs reference checks on new customers;
  • Weekly reporting to team leader with updates on debtors list;
  • Take ownership of customer queries to resolution;
  • Communication: ability to communication with all internal and external customers in a professional environment.
  • Understand and maintain the audit and compliance requirements in relation to Receivables;
  • Maintain and drive to lower all KPI's
  • Adhoc duties as requested by the Team Leader

  • Requires a minimum of two years of experience within an accounts receivable/billing or credit and collections role;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required;
  • Ability to deal with difficult customers;
  • You will be a hardworking and proactive individual who is confident with all aspects of credit control/sales ledger;
  • You will be a teamplayer and comfortable confidently communicating with international and UK suppliers;
  • Requires strong analytical and decision making skills
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills.
