APPOINTMENT OF KITCHEN ASSISTANT

30 HOURS PER WEEK PM (30 MINS LUNCH) - TERM TIME ONLY PLUS 2 DAYS

SALARY :
£14,210 - £14,467
Chadsgrove School is a day special school for pupils whose special educational needs arise from their physical disabilities. In addition a significant number have profound and multiple learning difficulties, whilst others have sensory impairments and/or communication difficulties.

We have a vacancy for a Kitchen Assistant to work within the Catering team consisting of a Cook and two part time kitchen assistants.

Responsibilities include food preparation, service, washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen area and covering for the Cook if absent. If you have a passion for catering we will support with further training and qualifications.

We are looking for someone who is well-motivated, hardworking, reliable and punctual.

Main Responsibilities:

To prepare nutritional food to a high standard as directed by the Cook
To prepare special diet meals for dysphagia pupils, gluten free, vegetarian, as directed by the Cook
Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, food storage areas and dining room at all times in accordance with the appropriate food hygiene regulations
Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
