Our client is looking for a highly experienced and qualified Director of Finance, Deputy S151 Officer, Key Chief Officer.

This role is the Deputy S151 Officer, reporting into the Interim S151 Officer, and manages the Finance, Procurement & Audit Functions.

Within the Finance area includes Budget Setting, Finance Business Partnering, Accounts Closure, Payroll, Pensions and Treasury.

The role has arisen due to the departure of the incumbent Director.

The role is Hybrid working typically in the office (Town Hall in Whitechapel) 2-3 days a week with the remainder remote and attendance at Committee meetings is required.

Member interaction is an important aspect of this role.

Team size is circa 150 staff with 9 Direct Reports.

Experience of working in Local Government as a Deputy S151 or s151 officer is essential.
