What you will be doing

Assisting in the leading of the Derby Team Ecology department.
Line management of graduate and or Assistant Ecologists.
Leading on nationally important infrastructure projects, managing project programmes and budgets.
Collaborating with our multidisciplinary teams and undertaking stakeholder engagement.
Planning and coordinating field surveys, analysing and interpreting survey results using approaches such as biodiversity net gain or natural capital.
Designing and coordinating ecological mitigation.
Managing work enquiries, preparing bids and building client relationships.

About you

Ideally, you would have the following qualities/ qualifications / memberships.
The desire to progress in people and business management to include assisting in leading a team, and line management responsibilities.
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), chartership, or being on the route to chartership would be advantageous (Atkins to cover membership costs).
A degree in ecology or closely related field.
Demonstrable specialist ecological knowledge.
A full, clean driving licence.
