MATCHING STAFF SOLUTIONS - EXETER OFFICE
We are currently hiring for a Principal Planning Officer for a local authority in Totnes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the head of Development Management and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


This is a contract running from Monday 22nd January until Friday 29th March

Job Description:
-


  • Deputising for the Head of Development Management as and when necessary.
  • Producing and presenting clear and accurate reports articulating clearly both the proposal, the key determining issues and setting out appropriate recommendations.
  • Be able to manage and supervise a team of staff including recruitment, attendance, performance meetings and learning opportunities.
  • Essential to have a degree in Town and Country Planning/Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
  • Excellent working knowledge of planning legislation, national planning policy and planning reforms.
  • Understanding of the S106 process and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

Working Week:

  • Monday to Friday 09.00am pm
