They are the national body for careers education in England, delivering support to schools and colleges to deliver modern, 21st-century careers education.


About the role:


This role is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience in business administration whilst working towards a qualification.


As a Business Administration Apprentice in the Development and Standards Team at CEC, you will manage administrative and operational tasks across their team, ensuring they are able to support the organisation and wider Network efficiently and effectively with all communications, learning and development opportunities and both virtual and in-person events.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Logistical support to ensure high quality execution of engagement activities and events (online and in person) including our Hub Lead residentials and Enterprise Coordinator Development Days.
  • Supporting with the organisation, maintenance and systemisation of our regular communications including Network News and team updates.
  • Inbox and diary management support for the team, including the Digital Hub and Development inboxes and calendars.
  • Salesforce data collection for regular reporting.
  • Arranging meetings, taking minutes, supporting with preparing meeting materials and booking travel.
  • Uploading content to our Digital Hub which will include course content, events and forum posts.
  • Helping to manage queries from external partners and directing them appropriately to the correct team members and other responsible teams internally.
  • Liaising and helping to manage agencies and suppliers who help us with our learning and development offer.
  • Supporting with the hosting of virtual learning and development events.
  • The opportunity to be a visible external ambassador for our apprenticeships work collaborating with other apprentices across the business.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and activities to support the company's overall aim of helping every young person find their best next step.

Entry Requirements:


  • You'll need to attend an online interview with our Talent Team and pass initial assessments in maths and English once you have completed your registration.
  • You will need to be within a commutable distance to the office location listed.

Skills:


  • Good verbal communication to support the team in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A team player able to collaborate with others and act as the conduit between Development & Standards team members and CEC colleagues.
  • Knowledge of ICT and Microsoft Office Programmes as the role will involve daily use of MS Programmes and CEC's digital tools.
  • Attention to detail across work that is produced by the team, the processes that are managed and the content submitted to be uploaded.
  • Being organised, managing the workload, and working to team deadlines and priorities.
  • Adaptability to respond to evolving priorities.
