Senior Credit and Accounting Controller

Location:
Office based in Poole

Salary:
£28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Job Type:
Permanent/Full-time (Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m)

The Company, natural & smoke ventilation specialists, are currently looking for an experienced Credit Controller with some Management Accounts experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the credit risk of our customers, while also providingaccurate and timely financial information to assist in the decision-making process of the company.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage the credit risk of customers, including setting credit limits and monitoring overdue accounts
Responsible for Factoring Accounts, obtaining credit limits and uploading invoices for factoring
Allocation of payments
To respond to invoice queries and debtor chase calls working alongside the Factoring Company
Set up and maintain debtors watch list report
To work with the sales team to ensure the timely receipt of sales ledger balances
When not dealing with credit control, you would be supporting the Head of Finance with the Management Accounts and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis

Skills and Experience:

Experience in Credit Control, Sales Ledger Cash Collection and Payment Processing preferably in the construction industry
High level of accuracy, with a methodical approach to work
Experience of invoice factoring and credit protection (invoice insurance)
Experience in preparing Management Accounts
Part qualified (1st year) CIMA / ACCA would be an advantage
Experience of working with windowsbased accounting systems training will be given on SAGE 200 / SAGE50 if required
Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Excel/Word/Outlook intermediate
Hands on team player used to working within a small team
