The Attendance Management Team are looking for a Band 3 Administrator to assist the Team in the effective implementation of Trust's Policy in relation to Attendance Management to all Nursing areas within the hospital.

Please note that this post may not meet the pay and skill level required for a Skilled worker visa


Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of Agenda for Change Band 3.

This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.


You will assist the Band 4 Administrator in providing advice and support to ensure managers understand their responsibility for the implementation of attendance management and undertake all possible actions to minimise sickness levels.


The post holder needs to have experience in administration, clerical and secretarial duties with the ability to provide an excellent, confidential and efficient service.


The duties will primarily focus on tasks associated with attendance management, and keeping clear and concise records and to communicate with managers when appropriate to assist in compiling Sickness Management Case information.

This role also requires significant organisational skills, time management skills and personal credibility.

Essential requirements

  • Knowledge of a full range of Business & Administration procedures acquired through NVQ Level 3 or proven practical experience
RSA/OCR level III or equivalent experience

  • Microsoft Office i.e Database, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Minute taking

  • Experience of dealing with Attendance Management Policies & Procedures
Scheduling/ Diary Management
Minute Taking
Experience of working in a customer-facing role.
High Level Microsoft Office software
Previous experience of working in an office environment
Ability to relate to a wide range of people.
