As a result of continuing growth, Llandovery College are looking to strengthen their support staff team team and are pleased to offer the role of Receptionist/Administrator.

We are seeking a highly efficient, capable Receptionist/Administrator, with strong interpersonal skills and an excellent level of attention to detail, to play an important part in ensuring that the College operates and is seen to operate in an effective and professional manner.


This post will be part-time (4 days a week) and the salary will be £18-20K (pro-rata), depending on experience and qualifications.

Receptionist (Part time)

Objectives


To provide an exceptional level of care and administrative efficiency, demonstrating the College's commitment to its mission in which 'Llandoverians and their parents join a caring community'.


This will include the following:

  • Greeting and guiding all visitors
  • Maintaining an accurate signing in/out register
  • Answering and directing all phones calls, taking messages as appropriate
  • Distributing incoming post and managing outgoing post, labels and franking machine
  • Dealing with special deliveries including of examination papers, and courier deliveries
  • Creating emergency contact/photograph/medical forms for trips away
  • Taking bookings for Old Llandoverian Room and liaising as appropriate with senior staff
  • Completing administrative tasks for staff e.g. scanning, copying, laminating
  • Assisting with basic tasks for Admissions e.g. badge making for Scholarship Days
  • Printing Emergency Fire Reports in the event of fire
  • Managing visitor and pupil sign in/out forms in the event of fire alarm
Learning Support Team Administrator

Objectives

  • To play an important part in ensuring that the Learning Support Team operates and is seen to operate in an effective, efficient and professional manner.
  • To provide high quality administrative support within the Learning Support Department.
  • To communicate effectively with parents in relation to learning support provision.
  • To make effective use of school information management and communication programmes such as iSAMS, Excel and Microsoft Teams.
  • To maintain a high level of professional communication with parents, school staff and external agencies.
  • To maintain a high level of confidentiality relating to pupil's learning needs.
  • To undertake general administrative duties, such as maintaining school records, SEN register and Provision Map.
  • To communicate with parents in relation to learning support provision, sending and collating parental permission, collating fee evidence for the Finance Team, sending family questionnaires and permission and fee agreement in preparation for diagnostic assessments.
  • Performing any other duties that may be required from time to time
