We are looking to recruit for the role ofForklift Driver/ Warehouse Operative

Due to our extensive investment in additional equipment and the continuing growth of our business, we are looking to recruit for several positions within our operations in Kirriemuir, Angus; just 19 miles from Dundee.

You will report to the Dispatch and Stores Supervisor and it will be your responsibility to ensure the department is maintained in a clean and tidy manner.
You will be required to understand and follow the safety requirements and ensure that you work within the Company's health and safety framework.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
The Warehouse Operative's key responsibilities are:
- Driving a forklift
- the individual must have a current FLT licence;
- Preparing finished goods for storage by completing packaging and labelling processes
- Completing palletising operations
- Placing goods into storage and recording location
- Completing consignment note process
- Preparing products for despatch
- Loading freight container or thirdparty haulier trailers
- Completion of 3rd Party driver documentation
- General housekeeping duties;
- Complying with all health and safety requirements and the reporting of any noncompliance or potential hazards, particularly as the role is more roaming in nature this is both emphasised and of critical importance;
- Any other duties as required in order to fulfil the needs of the department;
The role will operate on the following shift basis which is:
- Working on a fixed dayshift pattern of 7.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m p.m. on a Friday)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A flexible proactive attitude towards your workload is important, as the role requires a quality driven approach.
The following would be a distinct advantage:
- Be extremely proficient in the operation of a counter balance forklift;
- A quality focused approach and attitude;
- Health and safety orientated;
- Flexibility to work in other manufacturing roles/departments when required;
We are looking for an individual who can provide a positive contribution with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, whilst maintaining a good working relationship with colleagues.
Full training will be provided.Job Types:
