Community Fundraiser
Hours:37 hours per week including some evening and weekend work when required

Main Purpose of the Job:
:To promote our mission, vision and values, ensuring that fundraising activity is implemented and managed locally to deliver targets and increase income in line with Central Office and Regional plans and strategies. To achieve this the post holder will plan and coordinate fundraising activities and support the recruitment and development of fundraising volunteers across the centre's region.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- To contribute to, deliver and report against annual budgets, targets and work plans.
- Maintaining excellent communications between the fundraising team, central office, centre managers and retail on fundraising activities.
- Ensure accurate donor management data is entered on to our CRM including; Adding/updating record information (names, addresses, contacts, Gift aid, GDPR consent), all communications, profiling attributes and income coding.
- Generating and retaining support by maintaining excellent donor stewardship.
- Identifying and actively seeking opportunities to increase revenue through promoting Jerry Green Dog Rescue's current and new fundraising initiatives. Including planning, coordinating or supporting the aims of fundraising, education or awareness through; talks, presentations, hosted or community attended events.
- Ensure that all activities adhere to the legal requirements (Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice and Fundraising Regulator)
- Delivering effective communications with the volunteer department to recruit and retain the support of volunteers to assist with our activities.
- Support the Community Activity Lead and wider fundraising team with the development of new recruitment strategies to maximise the number of recruited supporters and income.
- Contribute to providing content for social media, newsletters, publications, press releases to increase our reach and engagement with supporters.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications & experience
- Previous fundraising, sales or customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM use.
- Excellent planning and organising skills, including the ability to manage and/or support several activities simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and sustain strong relationships.
- Understanding/appreciation of donors and the donor journey
- Building Profile & Reputation
- Can effectively use digital technology and social media and understands its potential to generate support
- Maintains accurate information
- Ability to understand budgets and summarise financial information accurately
- Good grasp of the organisation's financial processes budgeting, accounting, etc.
- Funding needs and donor analysis
- Negotiating and influencing skills.

- Full, UK driving licence
Understanding of the importance of ensuring good dog welfare
- Passionate about continuous improvement of the welfare of dogs across the whole organisation and demonstrates vigilance in ensuring the depth and breadth of good dog welfare standards
- Understands the spirit and intent behind Dogs in the Office
- Prepared to be trained as a Green Skills dog handler
