About Our Client
A great opportunity for a
Packaging Artworker to join a Leading Importer in the Leeds area. The business is known for their variety of products across FMCG, Stationery, Health & Beauty etc. which they proudly develop in house by their own trading team. Due to impressive trading figures the business is looking for a second Packaging Artworker to join their team.

About the role

The successful Packaging Artworker applicant will have a keen eye for detail and a positive, proactive attitude to join their in-house design team.

Organised and flexible, you'll work within their wider trading team working primarily on packaging designs for their extensive range that spans over 1,000 products.

You will be able to work independently, adjust to incoming workload, reprioritise jobs as needed and manage your time to ensure work is completed to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
On a daily basis you will work alongside the design manager in a role that will involve creating artwork for a whole host of packaging ranges

Projects will include:

Adapting existing packaging designs to fit new products.
Amend existing packaging to suit new packaging formats.
Generating barcode labels
Ensuring all files are organised and stored correctly.
Checking and amending artwork
Checking digital proofs prior to production
Checking Physical Proofs during production
Tracking artwork approvals from the wider team
Working on FSDUs and other POS Solutions
Liaising with Category buyers for Packaging feedback
Following style guides where provided
Creating digital and physical packaging mockups
Sending files to print
Product photography and image editing
Creating print ready files

Requirements:

Be confident in Adobe illustrator and Photoshop.
Have an understanding of the requirements of packaging design.
Have a degree or higher qualification in graphic design, or 3+ years industry experience.
A strong portfolio showcasing your artwork experience across branding and packaging, image editing skills and attention to detail.

Beneficial skills include:

Previous experience working within packaging and labels particularly within FMCG.
Basic adobe lightroom knowledge
Basic Adobe InDesign knowledge
Basic Microsoft Excel knowledge
Knowledge of print
Experience with Filemaker

Salary:

£24,000 - £27,000 depending on experience
