Production Shift Manager


We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Shift Manager to join one of the UK's largest growers and packers of fresh produce based in March area.

Our client supplies the country's largest retailers and processors and aims to be market leaders throughlinking outstanding consumer insight, sustainable procurement, technical innovation, and operational efficiency to provide their customers with good quality products at great value.


Main responsibilities for the successful Production Shift Manager:

  • Ensure the welfare of your team, including demonstrating visible safety leadership.
  • Lead your team, with effective management of team and individual performance and behaviours.
  • Ensure your team is compliant and progressive, with individual. development plans are in place and training actions completed.
  • Ensure on time delivery of orders within customer specification to meet required production targets.
  • Deliver against KPIs, including labour cost, OEE, waste.
  • Deliver team briefs, conducting investigations, disciplinary hearings and APRs.
  • Contribute to our Continuous Improvement Programme.
  • Deliver key projects and process changes.

An ideal Production Shift Manager will have:

  • Have experience of working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of leading a large team across multiple departments including production, packing and outbound.
  • Demonstrate experience of people development and performance management and a proven track record around improving HSE culture.
  • Work autonomously, be a decision maker with excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Engage well crossfunctionally, excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proven track record of implementing and sustaining change through Continuous Improvement.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be Selfmotivated and eager to lead a successful Team.
