Project Engineer / Appointed Person


An established Engineering business are looking to hire a Project Engineer / Appointed Person to join the Long-Term Projects Business Unit.

You will be responsible for producing all technical solutions, designs and engineering of all onsite lifting operations, receiving transportation, loadouts, marine transportation and load-ins.


As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • You will use your expertise to devise smart engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects.
  • Conducting site visits and providing conceptual solutions for lifting operations will be a key part of the role
  • Preparing and selecting both existing and renewed engineering statements
  • Developing drawings, calculations, visualisations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents
  • Ensuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer with particular focus on safety and quality

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Hold and an Appointed Person qualification OR be a Qualified Engineer
  • If no AP qualification you will need to have experience in the lifting sector
  • Able to work at least 1 day per week in the South West of England
