Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a
Concierge Security Officer to join Kingdom Services Group Ltd, working at a student accommodation site in Edinburgh, EH7 area.

Hours:
On average 24 hours per week. Saturday & Sunday's 08:00am - 20:00pm.


Pay rate:
£10.90 per hour.**
Person specification:
  • Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Accreditation license and/or Door Supervision license in accordance with the Security Industry Act 200
  • Vetted as a minimum to the standards required by British Standard 785
  • Valid and clear EDBS.
  • Valid First Aid at Work (3day course) certificate and/or a willingness to undertake training.
  • Relevant industry and sector experience.
  • Security & safety conscious supported with a customer service / client focused attitude.
  • Conversant in the English language and capable of communicating effectively through verbal and written means.
  • Confident, professional, disciplined and have presence and calmness to diffuse difficult / confrontational situations.
  • Be physically & medically fit.
  • Flexible & adaptable.
  • Be of smart appearance.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to develop new skills and undertake responsibility.

The Role:
Deliver a high quality concierge and security service to our clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring the general security of the building to make sure tenants are safe.
  • Reacting to fire alarms appropriately (training given on site)
  • Manning the reception to deal with all tenant enquiries any information you are not able to answer to be handed over to site management.
  • General Cleaning
  • Reactive maintenance: to manage any reactive maintenance reported to you. Training will be given in how to deal with emergency maintenance situations on site.
  • Post & Package management
  • Building Walks to identify any security or safety issues. Anything that can't be resolved to be handed onto site management.
  • Effective handing over of information relevant to site staff.
  • Issuing keys and checking in of tenants outside of office hours on instruction from site management.
  • Adhoc maintenance tasks
  • Attending to any first aid requirements.

Knowledge and Experience

  • An understanding of Health & Safety at work & the likely issues to occur in a residential building.
  • A mature & nonjudgmental attitude to working with a client group that may present challenging behaviour.
