The Role
This role supports our Contracts Manager to provide a central administration of files and systems in relation to Health & Safety Management.
This central role will provide analysis and performance monitoring to report to senior management and contribute to an effective and efficient Health & Safety service.
Day to Day Duties
- Access H&S allowances and proposals for secured contracts on a site specific basis, liaising with the relevant surveyor and Contracts Manager to enable you to put together a safe method of working which can then be transferred into Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Compile Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and CDM Files (where applicable)
- Ensure all relevant H&S Documents have been sent to the client/customer and that all approvals are in place before the commencement of any works.
- Ensure all relevant H&S Documents are handed over, understood and signed for by site operatives prior to works starting on site.
- General administration duties where necessary to support the office and Contracts Manager.
- Update H&S Policies and procedures with the aid of our external H&S Consultant.
- Ensure all site operative(s) training is relevant, kept up to date, and renewed before expiry.
About you
You will have a working background of Health and Safety, ideally in the Roofing/Construction sector, however all backgrounds will be considered.
Desirable Skills:

NEBOSH General (or similar)

SMSTS (or similar)

Experience in a similar role (essential)

Part-time hours: 18 per week
Salary:
£10.42-£14.50 per hour
