Are you highly experienced in purchasing low volume, high-cost parts? Do you enjoy the SME environment of being hands on and taking full accountability of spend?

We're working exclusively for an engineering business in Nottingham who are keen to recruit a Senior Buyer/Purchasing Manager.

They have a truly unique product that is the future of alternative energy, so you'll have the opportunity to lay the foundationsfor future generations.

You'll be covering all business requirements from direct components to services and indirect spend.

Day to day you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading purchasing activity through negotiating price, delivery and contracts with suppliers
  • Identifying cost savings for project procurement
  • Creating and maintain BOM
  • Reading and monitoring engineering drawings
  • Liaise with engineering and design teams
You'll need to be comfortable with both operational and strategic procurement, especially negotiating contracts with suppliers.

Proven experience in a mechanical manufacturing/engineering environment will be crucial.
