Description
Responsibilities:
- Tack and final weld steel using a three phase MIG welder as per standard operating
- Interpret Engineering Drawings and confirm adherence to specification using calibrated measuring instruments and templates.
- Position materials for welding using cranes or forklifts
- Inspect welded joints for quality and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Organise and plan daily work and record work carried out through computer based data capture system as instructed.
- In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all health & safety systems and standards relevant to your department/function are adhered to and drive commitment to a safe working environment with a high standard of general
Requirements:
- 2 + years proven experience as a welder
- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment operation
- Familiarity with machining tools such as grinders and cutting torches
- Ability to assemble and disassemble metal components accurately
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
