Job Description:
Are you an experienced Assembler? Able to lead others in undertaking the assembly of trackwork layouts and associated equipment? Can you do it to a well-planned production plan to the required quality and in a safe and efficient manner?
Then this might be the perfect job for you.
The full role responsibilities are:
- Liaises with Team Leader to ensure work is organised to meet agreed timescales
- Leads, directs and trains others in all aspects of assembly work
- Responsible for positioning the rail onto the bearers to the correct specification and tolerance
- Responsible for the accurate cutting of rail and drilling of timber bearers
- Has sound knowledge of the clients S&C standards or equivalent, gaining access to them as appropriate
- Inspects layouts with Team Leader in preparation for client inspection
- Identifies faulty materials and logs using the NCR system/reports to Team Leader
- Assists with despatch duties as required
- Ensures a safe system of work and compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality instructions
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality regulations.
- Relevant rail/fabrication experience
- Knowledge of railway operating environment experience
- Knowledge of the basics of S&T
- Engineering qualification or experience.
- CITB/NPORS qualified in slinging
- Training and supervising the work of others]
- Able to prioritise and work under pressure to deadlines and targets
Salary £26,201.00-£26,947.00 per year
