Key Decision Making Areas in the Role

  • Prioritise enquiries and problems for action or referral to more senior management.
  • Interpret a range of options to identify the most effective recommendations for management action
  • Identify the need for change of priorities and assess the impact on the team.
  • Resolve conflicting demands on resource to meet business requirements and make provision for development needs.
Role Dimensions - financial (e.g. budgets) and non-financial units (e.g. workload, customers/staff)

  • Significant budget monitoring responsibility to support processes and service level agreements.
  • Management of a substantial team of administrators.
Main Contacts - external/internal customer contacts and purpose

  • Regular contacts with senior managers and peers in other departments to develop and maintain administrative policies, systems and procedures.
  • Regular and proactive contact with Senior managers to review their business requirements and provide advice and ideas to develop their administrative service.
  • Regular liaison with external customers and contacts to gather and share information.
