**The Role - English Teacher
**For this role, we are looking for a qualified English Teacher who is passionate about teaching and has experience working with children or young people with Social, emotional, mental health difficulties and learning difficulties. You will be workingwith students at GCSE level so you will also have to be experienced working with students of this age. Due to the students' needs, you will have the support of teaching assistants as the students will display challenging behaviour.
**PRU School - English Teacher
**This PRU school is in Merton and caters to students between the ages of 11-16 who have Social, emotional, mental health difficulties. As a Pupil Referral Unit they work within the Merton guidance on Provision for children with SEN in schools whichexplains the ways pupils with different additional needs are provided for within the school. They also follow the 'Equality and Disability' policy. The aim is to provide education to secondary-aged pupils who experience difficulties accessing schooling forseveral reasons or who are not able to maintain a placement at a mainstream school, including pupils with an EHCP.

This means that the young people may have:

Been unable to get a school place, been permanently excluded, refused to go to school and put themselvesat risk of exclusion.

The school has free parking available on site and the train station is a short walk away from the school.
