The Role

We are looking for a technical writer to join the team, collaborating daily with our team of highly skilled software engineers to craft and maintain high quality, technical, customer-facing documentation.

This will also include creating jargon-free content for technical articles and blogs that will feature on our website:

Meet with product managers, software engineers, and UI designers to ensure all features, enhancements, and changes are fully documented
Work with release engineers and developer operations to enable weekly product updates and documentation
Work with support engineers to help drive end user engagement and adoption, including:
Contributing to Knowledge Base articles and wiki questions
Authoring and editing technical blog posts
Developing training materials, implementation guides, migration guides, best practices, and FAQs

Technology and Business Skills

Essential

Product first approach
Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant professional experience
Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably with both onsite and remote team members working in multiple time zones.
Excellent written communication skills and ability to peer review technical documents for grammar, content and style of writing
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text
Strong attention to detail
3+ years creating technical product documentation from scratch, as well as from specs
Experience with using or documenting any of the following technologies:
Programming languages/APIs (Python, JavaScript, Java, C#/.NET, etc.).
Big Data analytics, machine learning, and statistics (Spark, Scala, etc.).
Experience with all aspects of the documentation development lifecycle, including:
Identifying and understanding the information needs of the audience
Gathering information, interviewing SMEs, and conducting research
Authoring, publishing, and managing online/web content
