PET-Xi has an amazing opportunity to join our team on a full-time contract
We have a fantastic brand-new opportunity for an experienced
Science Tutor to tutor functional skills
Science to GCSE students.

No Marking
No lesson planning
Preprepared lesson materials

You will be primarily responsible for the delivery of pre-designed
key stage 3-4 Science material to meet the standards of the national curriculum.

This is a field-based in the midlands, where you will be tasked with delivering engaging and inspirational programmes leading to defined outcomes for young learners in accordance with PET-Xi's company values on
15 week placements.

The skills & experience you'll bring:

Previous experience with engaging with young peoples' activities
Ability to engage with and inspire young learners by using appropriate training techniques and interpersonal skills
Create an appropriate learning environment and maintain a disciplinary framework by demonstrating a strong 'presence' in the classroom
Be capable of modifying delivery method dependant on the learners in the group
Be able to work to deadlines
Have good ICT skills using Microsoft Office software
The ability to adapt to different learning styles at pace

In order to deliver/assess this qualification to PET-Xi standards, staff must hold (or be working towards):

Qualified Tutor Status (QTS)
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
City & Guilds Certificate in Further Education Teaching (7407)
City & Guilds Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS
City & Guilds Further and Adult Education Tutor's Certificate (7307)
City & Guilds Initial Certificate in Teaching Basic Skills
An Enhanced current DBS check, preferably on the update service. (Essential)

Personal Skills:

Excellent communication skills
Presentation, written and verbal.
Time management and organisational skills.
Ability to manage own diary.
