Summary
The Hours: 37.5 hours per week, shift pattern is 5 over 7 daytime hours with weekend work required (no split shifts or evening work).

What you'll be doing Working with the Food & Beverage Management team you'll use your skills to develop delicious menus, using local produce where available, that adapt to the seasons and work with the National Trust Cookbook framework to prepare delicious food.
You will be constantly seeking and developing new income opportunities, working to achieve financial targets and increase margins by minimising waste and controlling costs and resources.
Through effective people management and leadership, and with the National Trust ethos at the forefront of your mind, you'll motivate the team of staff and volunteers to strive for a culture of exceptional service and make it a great place to work.
You will enjoy preparing food from scratch using fresh/seasonal ingredients and will be confident with creating bakes,?making, soups, stews, sausage rolls and preparing & presenting food to order served directly to the customers over busy lunchtime periods.
You will receive a bespoke induction and allergen/food safety training. Further professional training & development opportunities are available

Who we're looking for You need to be;
- Experienced as a chef within a professional setting
- Helpful & friendly with a positive attitude
- Passionate about food
- Knowledge of budgets, increasing income and controlling costs, including stock and waste management
- Aware of Health & Safety compliance
- A team player with great communication skills
- An experienced people manager including setting personal objectives and providing feedback
- Qualified in food preparation and cooking to City & Guilds or NVQ L3 or equivalent
