Our client is a leading precision engineering company that specialises in the production of high-quality components for various industries including, Medical, Aerospace, Defence, Electronics and Packaging.

Due to ongoing success, our client is now recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join their friendly team.

(CNC Turner) - Position Overview

Reporting to the Managers for job orders to ensure workflow scheduling
Work with route cards to ensure scheduling, labour time and job tasks are put on records
Receiving and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches to manufacture components and ensuring the finished product is accurate and aligns the specification
Test and measure manufactured components
Use gauges and measuring tools such as, vernier callipers and micrometres to meet tolerance requirements
Work as a team to ensure quality and production targets are met
Setting up, operating, and programming machines

(CNC Turner) - Position Requirements

Undertaken a recognised apprenticeship, BTEC, City & Guilds qualification in Manufacturing or similar industry
A time served machinist
Experience using CNC Lathe programming on Siemens Sinumerik or Hurco Winmax
Knowledgeable and experience of using manual Colchester lathe and Bridgeport NC Proto Trak milling machines
Excellent attention to detail, and ability to selfinspect own work
Ability to work to tight tolerances, maintaining the highest of standards while under strict deadlines
Be proficient in with using a variety of handson tools an equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong communicator and problem solver
