Health Intelligence Lead:

In 2023 more than ever, incisive and insightful analysis is essential to enabling us to effectively improve health in Tower Hamlets.

We are looking to fill three roles to lead public health intelligence team for Tower Hamlets, continuing our innovative work in evidence and data science.

These roles will use a range of skills and knowledge across population health, epidemiology, and data science to produce impactful insight that informs strategy, service design, research and commissioning.

About Tower Hamlets
Tower Hamlets Public Health team is known for its leading, innovative approach and for its strong partnership working.

We have led the way on intelligence, from our Whole Systems Dataset Project and local area profiles that have informed regeneration and planning, to close academic collaborations to develop state-of-the-art data infrastructure.

Tower Hamlets has been awarded a multimillion-pound investment for our Health Determinants Research Collaboration, which will boost the local authority's capacity and capability to conduct high-quality research to tackle health inequalities.

These roles will interface with the HDRC to foster and benefit from academic collaborations.

Tower Hamlets is one of the most diverse and dynamic places in the UK.

We have one of the fastest growing populations in the UK with more homes being built here than almost anywhere else.

Our average age is just 32. Our economy has the third largest output in the UK. Yet we are a borough of contrasts.

We have wide health inequalities, and we work with a wide range of partners to proactively address a number of health challenges.
