You will have a proactive, can do approach along with advanced IT and Power BI skills.


As the Project Controller you will assist in the implementation, adoption and use of project controls tools and information within your allocated projects.

You will provide insight on the performance within your project to support project management and assuring project/projects performance targets are achieved.


What you will be doing:


  • Ensure business project controls & reporting procedures and processes are implemented across their project/projects
  • Facilitate the development of local project controls & reporting procedures and processes to suit the requirements of their project/projects.
  • Ensure that the processes & procedures are operating effectively and enable the efficient, holistic and rigorous analysis of project and portfolio performance.
  • Champion and drive the adoption of project controls & reporting requirements within your portfolio.
  • Manage the collection, extraction and validation of source data for the purposes of analysis.
  • Lead the critical analysis of information and metrics to identify performance, areas of actual and potential concern.
  • Provide early identification and warning of areas of potential risk & issue so that they can be minimised in a proactive manner.
  • Provide objective, transparent, timely and evidencebased insight on performance at a portfolio and project level.
  • Collate performance information and insight in compelling, effective and intuitive communication formats to meet the requirement of stakeholders (project, portfolio, business and group levels).
  • Confirm that data used for analysis is of a suitable quality and accuracy.
  • Lead the collation of information and packs associated with the project & business reporting cycle

Who we are looking for:


  • Advanced user of MS Excel, and efficient in BI packages such as Power BI / Qlik / Tableau.
  • Confident in developing dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Experience of the rolling up performance information from a granular (project) to portfolio / business level.
  • Competency of working with data to analyse performance.
  • Ability to communicate "data" in effective and meaningful formats.
  • Understanding of project accounting and construction contracts.
  • Exposure in a function such as Planning, Project Controls, Commercial, Finance or Operations
  • Knowledge of JSON/HTML/SQL is beneficial but not essential.
