About the role:


Lycetts Insurance Brokers, a leading player in the industry, is thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity at our Newcastle HQ.

We are currently seeking a talented and driven Trainee Account Handler to join our team.


We are looking to recruit an individual new to the insurance industry who is able to learn quickly, and provide assistance to a small but successful team.


Key responsibilities
***:

  • To prepare renewal schedules and contact clients prior to renewal
  • Answer incoming new business enquiries and prepare new business quotations
  • Negotiate alternative quotes prior to renewal dates where appropriate
  • Deal with all documentation, invoices, credit notes, etc. ensuring a smooth and troublefree renewal for the client
  • Act inline with client requests and deliver beyond expectations.
  • Comply with file management, compliance procedures and FCA guidelines.
  • Foster good relations with insurance companies

Knowledge, skills and experience
***:

  • A willing 'can do' attitude, and a desire to learn about all aspects of insurance
  • Confident communicator both written & oral
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with both clients and insurers/underwriters
  • Good organisational skills
  • Wellpresented, hardworking, proactive team player able to utilise own initiative
