Description

We are looking for a laundry assistant for to ensure a high standard of cleanliness of residents and homes laundry and ensure the safe and efficient running of the laundry.

You will need to take pride in your work ensuring that you complete all tasks to a high standard and be proactive and organised.

You will need to be able to multitask where necessary and be a good team member.

Duties will include but not limited to

To manage the laundry procedures and required throughput of laundry, thereby preventing unnecessary buildup.
To be in control of the collection and distribution of laundry.
To wash, iron and mend residents' clothing.
To ensure the different type of laundry are washed at the appropriate temperature.
To distribute laundry into the residents' wardrobes or chest of drawers.
To ensure that the residents' wardrobes and chest of drawers are tidy and neat at all times.
To ensure the laundry room is clean and free of safety hazards.
To ensure the correct and safe use of laundry bags with particular regard to soiled and infected linen.
To dispose of waste in accordance with the home's waste disposal policy.
To ensure the correct marking of the residents' clothes.
To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
