Market Intelligence Partner - Marketing Department
Location:
London or Manchester (hybrid)
As the Market Intelligence Partner, you will be responsible for researching and analysing the UK labour market, skills and training trends, professional associations, and government policies.
Your insights and research will be utilised to drive business strategies, identify market opportunities, and enhance BPP's reputation in the industry.
You will serve as the public face of our market insight function, representing BPP at events and engaging with clients and public sector stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive research on skills and training trends, focusing on markets, sectors, disciplines, job roles, products (apprenticeships vs. non-apprenticeships), and competitors.
Utilise various research methods, including desk research, commissioned research projects, surveys, focus groups, attendance at external events and roundtables, and other appropriate approaches.
Leverage external reports, insights from professional bodies, hiring data, bids data, external and internal data sources, research partners, government white papers, devolved authorities strategies, and other relevant sources.
Curate and summarise research insights and narratives to identify new market and product opportunities, develop web content, create customer journey content, produce sales collateral, and establish thought leadership through PR and events.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Brand, Content and PR, Customer Marketing, Bids function, Sales, Schools, Clients, and external partners, including public sector strategic skills/careers leads (national and regional).
Required Skills:
Proficiency in working with quantitative data and software for data analysis.
Ability to conduct effective desk research and write coherent research reports.
Strong project management skills to ensure timely completion of research projects.
Demonstrable experience with at least one programming language such as Python, SQL, SPSS, Power BI, or Alteryx.
Experience presenting to clients, delivering presentations at events, running focus groups, or facilitating workshops.
