Hours:
Shift Pattern: 5days on 3days off, average 39.5 hrs per week, Shift is 7.30am to 5pm. Working weekends and bank holidays is a requirement.

About you
Required qualifications are Maths, English, Science, ICT with grade 9-4 or A*-C.

You will have excellent communication skills; show an interest in engineering and display a good work ethos. You will need to be physically fit as the role will require lifting and carrying of materials and equipment.

It is an essential requirement to have a full drivers licence as there will be elements of travel involved.


About the role


We are looking for someone who wants to learn and develop their skill, knowledge, and experience in all aspects of Power Generation equipment including repairs and upgrades on changeover panels, switchgear, control systems, alternators, engines, fuel tanks and much more.

Key responsibilities

  • Working with both electrical and mechanical engineers to gain a solid foundation of engineering skills
  • Learning within your area of specialism (mechanical / electrical)
  • Receive on and off the job training
  • Maintain H&S, Quality and Environmental Standards as per the relevant Regulations and Manuals


It is a requirement of the role that you attend college classes as outlined by the learning provider and participate in ongoing assessments both in theory and practical.


This is an exciting opportunity for a learner who is looking to complete his / her engineering apprenticeship and to work for a progressive company at the forefront of power generation.

Working outside normal hours is a requirement for which overtime will be paid at the prevailing rate.
