CNC Turner - Lathe Machinist

Salary:
To £34,476 pa PLUS - Overtime at time and a half / (To £17.00 per hour, Overtime at £25.50 per hour) - Good hours available

Permanent Position - Immediate start available.**
Location in the Cambourne area - Own transport required due to location
CNC Turner - Lathe Machinist is required by long established engineering manufacturing Company. This interesting and varied "hands on" role is to machine components to precision limits, for various special purpose machinery.

You should be a confident setter / operator capable of programming offsets and conducting basic inspection on your parts.

The CNC Turner Machinist will assist in the day to day running of the factory production areas and jobs allotted to your control in accordance with the schedules and completion dates assigned.

Materials used are mainly Stainless-Steel with some small amounts of Nylon and PTFE.

It is essential to be able to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment, understand tolerances and do your own self checking.

Skills / Qualification Requirements:

City & Guilds Qualifications / Apprentice in Engineering would be an advantage
Time served mechanical engineer trained in machine shop technology and working practices
CNC programming using Haas or Fanuc
To produce one off and multiple parts to drawings
Working from drawings
Team player
Health and safety aware

Salary:
To £344476 pa PLUS - Overtime at time and a half / (To £17.00 per hour, Overtime at £25.50 per hour)

Working hours are 39 hours per week
