Claims Handler / Trainee


Contract:
Full Time, Permanent


Salary:
Salary negotiable depending on experience, plus company bonus scheme


Are you an experienced claims handler, or do you have a desire to build a career in law or customer services? ALPS currently have several roles available in our claims team.

Whether you are ready to be our next Trainee Claims Handler (no experience necessary) or already have a proven track record in Claims or a legal background we would love to hear from you.

About the Role


In this role you will be responsible for advising and assisting our clients who have been involved in a road traffic accident.

You will be taking details of the incident, entering details into our Case Management System and assessing policy cover and advising clients about their options.

You will also consider and establish who was at fault for the incident, make enquiries with all parties and insurers involved, arrange for the client's damage to be repaired, a replacement vehicle to be provided (if required) and instruct our in-house legal team to pursue any personal injury claims or issue county court proceedings if a dispute arises.


Skills Required:


  • Excellent communication and customer care skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Good computer skills, use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Teams will be required in the role
  • Good diary management & organisation skills
