We have a great opportunity for a multi-skilled
Building Maintenance Officer to join our Accommodation Team in our Cheltenham and Gloucester sites.

Our low-cost key worker housing offers self-catering accommodation ranging from shared accommodation suitable for singles to apartments for couples or families.

We offer flexible stays of anything from one night to a year or more.

As well as housing NHS staff, the accommodation is also available to other key workers including staff from private hospitals, council workers, police, fire officers, prison officers and teachers.

This is a part-time, permanent position, working 22.5 hours per week.

The role

As a Building Maintenance Officer, you'll take responsibility for all maintenance and repair requests from residents, staff and external customers and carry out a programme of routine inspections in the sites communal areas.

You'll also work closely with both internal colleagues and external contractors to plan, arrange and undertake planned maintenance and routine health and safety works.

What you'll need

Experience within a facilities management or general repairs role
Passionate in delivering excellent maintenance services to customers
Plumbing and joinery skills and the ability to carry out minor maintenance tasks and redecoration
Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
Be approachable, reliable and flexible, with the ability to communicate clearly
Exceptional customer service skills
The ability to work within a team and liase with contractors and suppliers
A proactive approach to getting the job done
