Summer Holidays - Activity Leader
Location:
Botley School OX2 9JZ
Reporting to:
Camp Manager
Work Assignment:
Monday 24th July - Thursday 31st August days excluding bank holiday)
Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm or 09:00 - 3:30pm weekdays.
Pay:
£ £100 (based on 7.5 hour day) Pay is calculated on experience and qualifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Being an Activity Group Leader for Elite Youth Sports is a rewarding and exciting position available on a casual basis during the school holidays.
As Group leader you are a role model and will be responsible for the safety and participation of up to 20 children aged 4-13 years old.
Delivering recreational sports, games, arts and crafts activities throughout the day, whilst engaging and building a friendly rapport with each child in your group.
All individuals working within the camp setting are required to be active, confident and bring high energy throughout the day.
Each day has an activity schedule planned for each camp leader to follow, designed with high participation, and developing new skills in mind.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver the scheduled activities
- Work together as a team to ensure a safe and fun time for all.
- The safety and welfare of children in your care
- Familiarise yourself with Elite Camps policies
- Being selfaware of your behaviour and attitude
- Supporting the camp manager
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1 year's experience working with children or sports/activity coaching
- Be passionate about working with children
- The desire to learn from other experienced camp staff to develop your own leadership style.
- Confidently be able to manage a group of children, bringing high energy and strong personality.
- Willingness to be a team player and get stuck in with all aspects of camp life.
- Access to transport or full driving licence
DESIREABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- A current enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training
- Currently qualified or working towards a sport, teaching or childcare qualification.
- Hold a Paediatric First Aid (12 hour or 6 hour) or First Aid at Work qualification
- Availability for regular holiday work
