Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, one of top 50 largest law firms in the UK, who are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join their team.

JOB DETAILS

PAY RATE: £55,000 £65,000 per annum
WORK TYPE: Permanent
WORK PATTERN: Full Time
LOCATION: Birmingham, Cambridge or Norwich

JOB SUMMARY

As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will report to the company's financial controller, and will help the company realise its objective to lead the industry in client experience and foster profitable growth.

The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

To maximise the amount of cash collected each month, gain a thorough understanding of our cash collecting policies, procedures, and systems.
To contribute to the efficient administration of the company's working capital with a focus on debt reduction, develop a grasp of the business of the company and the issue of the cash cycle.
Work toward monthly cash goals, maintain your own ledger, and take responsibility for answering questions.
When necessary, communicate with attorneys about pastdue bills, take the agreedupon actions, and make sure that proper records of those actions and the responses obtained are kept up to date.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

5 years minimum of experience in management accounting or a comparable position.
Extensive knowledge of financial statement creation, forecasting, and monthly management reporting.
Extensive knowledge of financial data analysis and the creation of clear, analytical reports to assist decisionmakers.
Ability to lead a small team, oversee information review and proper delegation, and nurture our critical skill
CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
A thorough understanding of managing submissions and VAT.
